Our philosophy stresses the dignity and worth of each child and flows from example and teachings of Christ.  Each child is treated with respect. At the same time, one of our top priorities is that children be taught to respect others. Our Lady of Mercy Academy adheres to the curriculum required by the State of New Jersey and the Diocese of Paterson. Our goal is to serve the needs of each child spiritually, academically, emotionally and socially.

We consider all children to be gifted and our challenge, as educators, is to develop these talents, as well as the child's own self image.  This can be best accomplished in a supportive Christian environment.

Our Lady of Mercy Academy admits students of any race, color, nationality and ethnic origin, to all rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the Academy.  It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational and admission policies.

For a description of some of the programs currently in use, read this programs brochure.
