Dear Parents,

Veteran’s Day is a day of remembrance and of poignant significance for all of us in America. At Our Lady of Mercy School we believe it is important for our students to honor and remember our country’s veterans and to understand citizenship.

On November 10^th we would like to invite relatives and friends of OLM families who are veterans, to visit our school. We would love for them to share an experience or a story, show a uniform or a memento, bring a newspaper clipping or any other item they might have from their service experience.

As part of this special day, all our students will participate in creating a “Wall of Peace” in our foyer.

Please let me, or your child’s classroom teacher know of anyone who might be interested in participating in this day with us.
